The Dave Smith Instruments Prophet ‘08 Synthesizer is feature-packed but reasonably-priced at $1999. This keyboard has a sonic character, 100%$ analog signal path and an 8-voice synthesizer. Expect every performance to be great with thus analog synthesizer’s aftertouch and velocity.
The Prophet ‘08 boasts of a 5-octave keyboard, 256 programs that are fully editable consisting of two layers of sepearate sounds for each program. It has an arpeggiator, 16×4 gated step sequencer, two analog oscillators that are digitally controlled, white noise generators, three envelope generators and one analog curtis low-pass filter per voice.
Connectivity is not a problem with his keyboard as it has ports for MIDI in, out, thru and Poly Chain, main stereo audio output, output B stereo audio output, sustain pedal input, headphone output and pedal/CD input.
