I have cousins who are really into singing and making music. In fact, their band has been existing for quite sometime now and they have been getting gigs albeit they are still considered non-professionals. Problem is, they do not own their drum set but content themselves borrowing from another group.
If you are interested in playing the drum either solo or you are planning to join a group someday then the Ludwig LR1125RC Accent 5-Piece Combo Drum Kit is a good choice. It is an ideal drum set for the beginning drummer although the price can be a bit high at $469.95 (although this is pretty affordable already compared to other drum set ) for a struggling musician. If you expect to be good at what you do, you have to expend capital and a drum set is a good enough capital.
The drum set is a good buy really, with stands made of good quality so you can expect them to last long. The throne is cheap and the pedal not the best but then again, you an upgrade when you have extra money later on. The cymbals are not included in the package though.
This drum set is not really top of the line but for a beginner, this is the best drum set you can have at a reasonabel cost.
